Sally Hale, MN, RN, Executive Director

Joined the Camp Sunshine staff in 1987.

Sally is a pediatric oncology nurse and worked in the hospital and clinic setting with patients and families before assuming the role of Executive Director of Camp Sunshine. She volunteered as a camp nurse at the first camp in 1983 and for five years, before becoming Executive Director.

Responsible for the oversight of all of Camp Sunshine's programs, fundraising and community relations.

 

Tenise Newberg, Program Director

Joined the Camp Sunshine Staff in 1999.

Diagnosed when she was 18 years old, Tenise is a young adult survivor of cancer. She started her days at Camp Sunshine as a Counselor in Training in 1988 and then as volunteer counselor for 10 years before formally joining the Camp Sunshine staff.

Responsible for Remember the Sunshine programs regional programs and special programs. She supports summer camp &, teen retreat programs.

 

Ann Baker, Program Director

Joined the Camp Sunshine Staff in 2005

Ann joined Camp Sunshine in September 2005 after a 19 year career as a Child Life Specialist at Backus Children's Hospital in Savannah. Ann has been involved with the Camp Sunshine Family Camp Weekend in Savannah for many years and served as Camp Sunshine's contact for families in the Savannah community.

Coordinates many of the family support, recreational and educational programs at Camp Sunshine House. Responsible for the preschool programs and Sunshine 2 U hospital based program as well as supporting family and sibling camp programs.

 

Astin Godwin, Program Director

Joined the Camp Sunshine Staff in 2014

Astin was a volunteer with Camp Sunshine for several years prior to joining our professional staff. He served in the United States Peace Corps and previously worked in volunteer management in the non-profit sector.

Responsible for family camps, sibling camps and school age programs. Visits the Aflac Cancer Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta weekly to connect with newly diagnosed and hospitalized children.

 

Chanteasea "T.C." Swain, Database Manager/Development Administrative Assistant

Joined the Camp Sunshine Staff in 2005

Chanteasea joined Camp Sunshine after years of experience in the Atlanta nonprofit community.

Responsible for the management of our database, gift acknowledgements and general office management. She is the friendly voice that will greet you when you call the camp office.

 

Amy Moosbrugger, Camp Director

Amy served as Program Director at Camp Sunshine from 1998-2004 and was responsible for family and children programs. She returned to Camp Sunshine in 2011 as Camp Director.

Responsible for summer camp, teen retreat weekends, other teen programs, and is also responsible for coordinating our volunteer staff.

 

Lindsey Acciarito, Special Events & Communications Manager

Joined the Camp Sunshine staff in 2008.

Lindsey came to Camp Sunshine after working in the Atlanta non-profit community serving children and families since 2001. Lindsey's experience includes working with volunteers, planning and marketing special events and customer service.


Responsible for special fundraising events and for community outreach.

 

Mary Kyle, Development Director

Joined the Camp Sunshine staff in 2011.

Mary comes to Camp Sunshine with extensive development experience in the Atlanta community. She has been passionate about Camp Sunshine's mission for many years, having worked as a pediatric oncology social worker prior to entering the development field.


Responsible for fundraising initiatives to support Camp Sunshine's goals including individual, foundation and corporate giving.

 

 

Sheryl Bomar, Camper Services Administrator

Joined the Camp Sunshine staff in 2014.

Sheryl joins the staff after being an administrative volunteer for two years in the main office. She has a background in counseling and has worked with children and families in a variety of settings.


Responsible for summer camp and program registration, camper information management and will assist with answering the telephone.
