Family Programs
Camp Sunshine offers a variety of programs throughout the year for children of all ages and their entire family- brothers, sisters and parents!!!

- Family Camp Weekends
Family Camp Weekends, held during the spring and fall, allow the immediate family to participate in fun camp activities that include games, sports, arts & crafts, tennis, fishing and massage therapy. Time is allowed for family activities as well as for the parents to participate in group sharing with the medical professionals. Away from the hospital environment, parents have the opportunity to interact with others who understand and fully relate to the challenges of caring for a child with cancer.
The volunteer staff includes pediatric oncologists, nurses, social workers, mental health professionals and clergy as well as volunteers who participate in Camp Sunshine's summer camp program. Families of children undergoing therapy for cancer are eligible to attend.
- Family Night
Family Night is held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at Camp Sunshine House. Meet and share dinner with others in similar situations. Family members participate in professionally facilitated groups to discuss pertinent topics. Parents meet together; children meet with other children, and childcare is provided for children under age 5. Dinner is served from 5:30-6:15 and groups meet from 6:15-7:30 pm. Family Night in Central Georgia is held the 2nd Monday of every month in Macon.
- Spa Sydell Night
Spa Sydell Night is held the 2nd Monday each month, 6:00-8:00 PM, at Camp Sunshine House. Join us for an evening of pampering. Take time to relax and rejuvenate with the professionals from Spa Sydell. This is an ongoing monthly program which includes massage/reflexology, facials, nails, and special dinner treats. - Fall Festival
Fall Festival is a fun day for the entire family held each October at Camp Sunshine House. Games, refreshments and entertainment for all ages!!
- Regional Activities
Regional Activities are held throughout the state so families can meet other families experiencing similar challenges in their own communities. Programs are varied and include recreational activities, sporting events, trips to local amusement parks, cultural events and more.
- Holiday Party
In December, Camp Sunshine hosts an annual Holiday Party for all immediate family members. What a wonderful opportunity to reunite with friends made during these Camp Sunshine events!
