Family Programs Overview
Camp Sunshine’s year-round support for children with cancer includes activities and events for the whole family to be together and meet other families going through similar experiences. From Family Camp Weekends to a variety of day excursions, from seasonal dinners to our annual Spring Fling and Fall Festival, rarely a month goes by without an opportunity to gather with our community and enjoy the essence of Camp Sunshine both at and away from camp itself.

Family Camp Weekends
Every spring and fall, Camp Sunshine brings families of children with cancer together for weekend retreats. In the woods and away from treatment centers, families have the opportunity to relax and have fun, share stories with other families and gain support from one another.

Day & Regional Programs
Each year, we invite our families to join us for excursions designed to appeal to kids and adults alike. Whether a visit to the local zoo or an afternoon picking apples at a nearby orchard, come join us for a day away, spent together and with other Camp Sunshine families and volunteers.

Our home may be Atlanta, but Camp Sunshine is here to provide support to every corner of the state of Georgia. Our second major hub of activity is in the Savannah area, but camp goes where the needs are. So from Augusta to Athens, Rome to Columbus, we are ready to bring our resources to bear.

Seasonal Sunshine Family Dinners
Join us at the Camp Sunshine House in Decatur, GA for a variety of annual family dinner events, including a New Family Welcome Dinner, BBQ and Bingo, and Thanksgiving Dinner.

Camp Sunshine House Festivals
Join us at the Camp Sunshine House in Decatur, GA for two seasonal festivals. First, the annual Spring Fling – an afternoon of games, activities, a magic show and egg hunt. Then, come again for our Fall Festival, a day of arts & crafts, games, music, food and more fall-themed fun!
