Bereavement Programs


Remember the Sunshine programs are for our bereaved families who have participated in past Camp Sunshine events. These programs offer an opportunity to revisit a place where wonderful memories were made during their child's life to connect with other bereaved families.

  • Remember the Sunshine Family Night

    Families who have more recently lost their child due to cancer are invited to attend the Remembering the Sunshine Family Night, held the 1st Thursday of every month from 5:30-7:30pm at Camp Sunshine House. Meet with other bereaved families to share and gain support. Children meet in groups and have the opportunity to process their grief through age appropriate activities. Parents meet with other parents. Facilitators will be present in each group. Dinner is provided.

  • Remember the Sunshine Weekend

    Remember the Sunshine Weekend is held each fall at Camp Twin Lakes. Families who have more recently lost their child due to cancer are invited to attend the Remember the Sunshine - Family Camp Weekend. The weekend includes a variety of activities (such as fishing, arts and crafts, boating, softball, cooking and archery), some frief related activities and a remembrance service on Sunday. The weekend program begins at 7 PM on Friday night and ending at 11 AM on Sunday. Space is limited.

  • Remember the Sunshine Day

    Remember the Sunshine Day is held each spring at Camp Twin Lakes. A day program, Remember the Sunshine Day, is for any bereaved family that has attended a Camp Sunshine program. The day includes camp activities, a luncheon and a remembrance service. Remember the Sunshine Day is held at Camp Twin Lakes.
