Who We Are

We are dedicated to creating a sense of place where children with cancer can be kids again.

We are families dealing with childhood cancer who come together to share, grow and find hope. We are passionate volunteers, who give and receive so much more in return. We are trained professionals in the childhood cancer journey. We are Board Members and joyful donors. And together, we are an amazing Camp Sunshine family where a touch of magic happens in a multitude of ways.

At camp, kids can enjoy normal activities like swimming, horseback riding, and arts and crafts. But most importantly, they discover their inner power to achieve more than they imagine and the gift of making forever friends. In fact, doctors and nurses often say the power of Camp Sunshine is as impactful in a child’s cancer journey as their treatment.

While camp is our biggest event, Camp Sunshine offers a variety of programs throughout the year designed for the entire family —brothers, sisters and parents! Here, incredible bonds are formed as they share similar challenges and celebrate victories.

In addition to paid professional staff, Camp Sunshine has dedicated volunteers that help with year-round programs as well as medical professionals who can administer treatment to children with cancer. All volunteers participate in an extensive application and training process and must pass a background check.

For updated information on all Camp Sunshine events, view our programming calendars on our website.
