Sally Hale, MN, RN

Executive Director

Camp Sunshine staff since 1987

Responsible for the oversight of all of Camp Sunshine's programs, fundraising and community relations.

Sally is a pediatric oncology nurse and worked in the hospital and clinic setting with patients and families before assuming the role of Executive Director of Camp Sunshine. She volunteered as a camp nurse at the first camp in 1983 and for five years, before becoming Executive Director.

Tenise Newberg

Program Director

Camp Sunshine staff since 1999

Responsible for Remember the Sunshine programs, young adult scholarships and events, regional programs, and special programing. She supports summer camp and teen retreat.

Diagnosed when she was 18 years old, Tenise is a young adult survivor of cancer. She started her days at Camp Sunshine as a Counselor in Training in 1988 and then as volunteer counselor for 10 years before formally joining the Camp Sunshine staff.

Amy Moosbrugger

Interim Camp Director

Camp Sunshine staff since 1998

Amy has been a part of the Camp Sunshine staff, serving in various roles, since 1998.

After a two-year retirement, Amy returns to serve as interim Summer Camp Director.

Ann Baker, CCLS

Program Director

Camp Sunshine staff since 2005

Coordinates many of the family programs at Camp Sunshine House. Responsible for the preschool programs and Sunshine 2U hospital based program as well as supporting family and sibling camp programs.

Ann joined Camp Sunshine in September 2005 after a 19-year career as a Child Life Specialist at Backus Children's Hospital in Savannah. Prior to joining our staff, Ann was involved with the Camp Sunshine Family Camp Weekend in Savannah and served as Camp Sunshine's contact for families in the Savannah community.

Astin Godwin

Program Director

Camp Sunshine staff since 2014

Responsible for family camps, sibling camps, and school age programs. Visits the Aflac Cancer Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta weekly to connect with newly diagnosed and hospitalized children.

Astin was a volunteer with Camp Sunshine for several years prior to joining our professional staff. He served in the United States Peace Corps and previously worked in volunteer management in the non-profit sector.

Stephanie Irwin, CCLS

Program Manager - Savannah

Camp Sunshine staff since 2014

Responsible for connecting families in the Savannah area with Camp Sunshine and implementing Sunshine 2U at the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah.

Stephanie, a Certified Child Life Specialist, joined Camp Sunshine in 2014. She coordinates all programming and community outreach in the Savannah area.

Alicia is a seasoned development professional with extensive leadership experience in the Atlanta nonprofit community. She is passionate about our mission and our important work with children and families.

Responsible for fundraising initiatives to support Camp Sunshine's mission including individual, foundation, and corporate giving.

Database Manager/Gift Processing Specialist

Camp Sunshine staff since 2005

Responsible for the management of our database, gift acknowledgements, and general office management.

Chanteasea joined Camp Sunshine after years of experience in the Atlanta nonprofit community.

Nancy Burrow

Special Events & Communications Manager

Camp Sunshine staff since 2015

Responsible for special fundraising events, communications, and community outreach.

Nancy came to Camp Sunshine with a background in public relations, editing, copywriting and creative design. Nancy is also the parent of one of our alumni and has experienced Camp Sunshine from a family's perspective.

Vicki Cherry

Camper Services Administrator

Camp Sunshine staff since 2016

Responsible for summer camp and program registration, camper information management, and assists with answering the telephone.

Vicki joins the staff after being an administrative and program volunteer. She has a background in business administration. Vicki is the mother of an alumni camper and has experienced the benefits of Camp Sunshine from her family's perspective.

Morgan Marcinko, MS, CCLS

Community Programs and Events Coordinator

Camp Sunshine staff since 2018

Responsible for developing and delivering Camp Sunshine activities in the community – regionally and in the hospital and outpatient setting, including Sunshine 2U, our hospital based camp program. Works with community groups organizing special events for Camp Sunshine.

Morgan is a Certified Child Life Specialist with experience at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite in the Emergency Department.
